Winter Warmers Wishlist

A little while ago I was planning post ideas and I noticed I was missing something. I've got a lot of wish-lists, a lot of clothes I'm just dying to get, but one thing I'm yet to do is a winter wish-list. It's the kind of season that gets me all giddy over fashion. I feel like winter clothing is SO exciting, everything is super easy to dress up or down, It's the kind of season where everything is so cosy and cushy and who doesn't want to feel cosy and cushy? Over the last few days I've picked out just a few of my favourite bits to share with you and I feel like it has definitely inspired my wintertime wardrobe!

Until a few years ago I didn't realise I had such a thing for coats! I just feel you can never have enough, despite what my bulging wardrobe thinks. I am OBSESSED with this leopard faux fur jacket, in Edinburgh last winter I nearly bought an almost identical one and yes I regret my decision. I'm also loving that skater coat I found on ASOS, I think it has a Ted Baker vibe which I am all for!

I've already picked up a few jumpers while on my expedition to fuel my winter wardrobe and I'm so glad I did because Aberdeen is frozen! I love the first high neck one it's such a classic staple. I also think these are perfect to throw on over pretty much anything. I'm also obsessed with the cute pretty in pink number, it's a little less snug than the others but I'm in love with it!

Cute mini dresses are amazing to have in your wardrobe because they make 'dressing up' and 'dressing down' super easy. I have a fair few little dresses in my collection and I think they are my favourite pieces! I'm definitely more of a dresses and skirts kinda girl than I am trousers. I love, love, LOVE this cute Topshop number, not only because it's velvet (forever my winter go-to) but because its the kinda dress you can wear with silver tights and little booties then in the evening chuck on some festive heels and your good to go! I love that kind of mix so much that it will be my Christmas Day outfit. I also love the polka dot velvet dress, I'd style it with a little tight white jumper underneath - I'm crazy about that kind of layering!

Trousers and Skirts

Lately I've been loving long wide-leg trousers, if I'm honest its a little difficult because I'm so short (but that's what heels are for). I'm all about that tartan-check trend, I like to make sure that I have a few super cool pieces that work for themselves if I'm having an uninspired day. These orange check trousers do just the trick! I also stumbled upon some less showy, navy trousers from Miss Selfridge - I also like to make sure I have a few 'easy to throw on' pieces that totally give me freedom. I can pretty much guarantee Miss Selfridge Petite will fit my little legs! It wouldn't be a wintertime wish-list without a leather skirt and I am OBSESSING over this ASOS one. I have a bit of an obsession with leather skirts, every year I almost always end up with a few more to add to my collection and I NEED to add this adorable burgundy number to it.

A key piece to keep in my wintertime wardrobe is a cute pair of boots. I spotted these AMAZING Vagabond lace up's on the ASOS site (how dreamy would they look with the leopard faux fur coat?). I love wearing something like lace up boots because they do an immense job of giving any outfit a bit of an edge. They are at the top of my Christmas list although, I'm not sure I can wait that long. Also, I came across these epic thigh high velvet boots which are also sitting pretty at the top of my Christmas list.

I've come to realise I am also obsessed with hats. I pretty much live in furry headbands this time of year but I've been dying to treat my head (and hair) to some cute new styles. The lace up beret is by far my favourite, I just love the way they look! Also, I've been really wanting a baker boy hat for a long time now and I think I've finally found one from ASOS that I just love!
